To coordinate the sport science programme/ Academy at the District Academy in Tshwane in conjunction with Local Government, the Regional Sports Confederation, district priority sport federation and relevant stakeholders that include the private sector. Coordinate the sport science testing of athletes based at the district academies and monitor their development. Coordinate sport science testing results to the athlete’s on the their coaches. Coordinate sport science education seminars for coaches and athletes on the district academy programme. Adhere to all conditions as set out in the National Academy Strategic Framework and other relevant policies inclusive of the National Sport Plan and policies on transformation and the PFMA. Coordinate the re- habilitation progamme of injured athletes that are on the district academy programmes. Coordinate the sport science testing programme for the focus schools that are based in the district. Assist with the coordination of sport science testing of Club Development Regional Squads.
The successful candidate should have a Grade 12 Certificate plus National Diploma qualification in Sport Management / Sport Science. A drivers and experience in / Club Development in sport Academies, Sport federations, School Sport, Recreation / club may serve as advantage. Skills: Ability to interpret directives and policies, Interpersonal, Project Management, Negotiation, Planning, Organization, Problem Solving, Conflict Management, Verbal and Written Communication, Basic Financial procedures, financial regulations, budget, PFMA, Policy implementation and HR Compliance, Leadership, Computer literacy and Report Writing.
