Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on civic services operational issues and matters
  • Act as change agent for all processes, systems or practices
  • Conduct quality assurance to ensure quality of service delivery
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of queues in the office
  • Manage records / documentation according to DHA document management prescripts
  • Render services in Mobile Units where and when required
  • Asses the working environment  and report all Occupational Health and Safety issues to management
  • Ensure implementation of civic services policies, strategies and plans
  • Process applications for enabling documents in the local office in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Collate statistical information on service standards
  • Report risks according to required format. Keep abreast with departmental policies andprescripts
  • Ensure the security integrity of the National Population Register in the local office
  • Encourage team work to ensure efficient service delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Sound interpersonal relations
  • Client orientation and customer focus
  • Basic understanding of Civic Service operations
  • Sound knowledge of the Batho Pele Principles
  • Communication skills (Verbal and written)
  • Financial administration
  • Record and time management
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Qualification & Experience:

  • An undergraduate qualification in Public Management / Administration, Social Science or related field at NQF level 6, and /or a National Certificate: Home Affairs Services, at NQF level 5, all as recognised by SAQA
