Job Description:

The role is contained within the short-term insurance industry, in the non-motor claims department. The applicant will be required to manage, digitally assess, validate, quantify and process claims in a customer centric environment. The role is shaped around offering exceptional customer service, in parallel to negotiating fair and accurate claim settlements. Knowledge in building, construction and/or a civil engineering background is imperative to the success of the role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to the Claims standard operating procedures.
  • Completion of a Digital Assessors report, where necessary
  • Determine quantum and merit on claims
  • Liaising with various role players in the life cycle of a claim i.e. Field Assessor, Quantity Surveyor, Suppliers, Project Manager, etc.
  • Digitally Assess claims, make recommendations, and discuss same with clients / brokers
  • Processing claims until finalization
  • Engaging with clients and brokers

Job Requirements:

  • Min 3 years’ experience in construction/Civil Engineering/Building industry
  • Communication, Complaint Resolutions, Customer Complaint Management, Customer Queries, Customer Service, Decision Making,
  • Negotiation skills, Report Writing
  • Short term insurance can be beneficial
  • Tertiary qualification in: Construction l Civil Engineering l Building Qualification
  • Graduate Certificate: Civil Engineering (Required), Graduate Certificate: Construction Management
