Job Description:

  • Manage Food Safety in accordance to regulations at all sites
  • To manage 2x Hotels (Brandspruit Living Quarters (BLQ) and Ukhozi Lodge) and to mange the contracts of the Sasol Secunda
  • Cafeterias and Tuck Shops. To serve as the primary point of contact between service provider and Sasol in relation to contract compliance and service delivery.
  • Analysing and mitigating risks related to management of change and service delivery during shutdown periods. Compile pre – shutdown strategies to ensure cafeterias and tuck shops cope with shutdown demand, ensuring accommodation for Service Providers are planned and executed fully.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence of Sasol and service providers to policies and standards and regulations
  • Continuously identify opportunities that will improve all aspects of the accommodation and canteen operations
  • Managing customer complaints in a professional and prompt manner
  • Ensure professional service offering to all customers
  • Manage audit findings / exceptions
  • Conducting weekly meetings with Service Provider
  • Plan and execute on Shutdown requirements (additional volumes)
  • Benchmarking to ensure the delivery of quality products to customers
  • Ensuring that the service provider complies 100% to: OHS Act requirements, and all food safety legislations.
  • Ensure continuous innovation on offering towards the target market
  • Analyse and mitigate risks related to September shutdown
  • Customer satisfaction – ensure delivery of the overall customer experience
  • Forming part of the BLQ Block committee in consultation with Mining Management
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure that the service provider is delivering according to the SLA and maintaining the safe practise and quality of service
  • Managing communication with service provider and ensuring that important information is clearly received and understood by all

Job Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of soft skills in Facilities and Catering Management environment
  • Sound Knowledge of HACCP principles
  • Good knowledge of OHS Act
  • Good knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Light vehicle driver’s licence (Code 08)
  • Relevant National diploma (or equivalent) in Hospitality/Facility Management sector (Strong wish)
  • SAP knowledge – PS1, PS2 etc.
  • Sound Computer knowledge – MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.)
  • Sound knowledge on the National Food Act
  • Understanding of financial accounting and billing systems and structures
  • Knowledge of development and implementation of service level agreements

Qualification & Experience:

  • Matric (Must)
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Hospitality Environment
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Facility Management Environment
  • Specific experience required:
  • 5 years’ experience managing service provider and Customer Services
  • Contract management knowledge and experience
