Job Description:

Tsebo Facilities Solution is looking for a Junior Planner who will be responsible for applying best practices in maintenance planning and scheduling processes to optimize the use of the workforce and improve machine reliability on site at Huawei Office Park Facility by assembling and coordinating the information, people, materials, equipment, along with all the other necessary resources to get all maintenance jobs done on the client’s property in line with the Master Service Agreement requirements for the contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Convert the organisation’s asset management and maintenance strategy into workplace activities
  • Ensure maintenance tool time is maintained above an agreed target, as set out in KPI’s
  • Reviews maintenance from previous night to determine what tasks are “open, closed or deferred”
  • Develop, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling processes
  • Maintains maintenance planning fleet mod status by adding new EOs, updating accomplished EOs, and verifying parts to schedule EOs.
  • Ensure all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work are readily available at time of use
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and database
  • Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians, janitors etc.)
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment
  • Facilitate the development of applicable maintenance routines in line with Maintenance Plan Reviews / OEM recommendations that promote quality reliable maintenance work
  • Ensure accurate and timely Maintenance performance reporting.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure maintenance work is factored into the production plan
  • Establish cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
  • Ensure key performance indicators are captured, reported and displayed for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling
  • Maintains a planning shift turnover report
  • Review the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant Preventative Maintenance, Proactive
  • Maintenance and Continuous Improvement activities on Huawei plant and equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to use own initiative and to operate with no management support when required.
  • Knowledge of the OHS Act. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts.
  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • Knowledge in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, callipers etc.)
  • Ability to plan, organise and control own work effort.
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Studying towards Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or equivalent advantageous)
  • Project a professional and competent image at all times when on duty.
  • Ability to deliver high quality and proactive design service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow established procedures.
  • Trade Qualification (Electrical or Mechanical – minimum 5 years’ experience)
  • Knowledge in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties advantageous
  • Attention to detail with a methodical and structural approach.
  • Customer centric.
  • Knowledge of tools and materials used in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ability to work across a diverse range of levels of personnel within the business
